1. What we collect

When you sign up: your name, email, password (hashed), shop name, and country.

When you use Billology: the data you enter (customers, products, invoices), plus basic usage info like login times and browser type.

We do not collect financial data. Payment processing (when live) is handled by our payment provider.

2. How we use it

To provide the service you signed up for. To send account related emails (subscription reminders, security alerts). To improve Billology based on aggregated usage patterns. We do not use your business data to train AI models or sell to third parties.

3. Where your data lives

On servers in India, hosted by our provider. We follow standard security practices including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted database backups, and access controls limiting who on our team can see customer data.

4. Sharing your data

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers required to run Billology (hosting, email delivery, payment processing when live), and only what those providers need to do their job. We may disclose data if required by law.

5. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data any time from your account settings. If you cancel, your data is retained for 90 days then permanently deleted.

EU users: you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to object to processing.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

7. Children

Billology is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will notify you of material changes by email.
